Catching Up… Psychic Edition

One of my favorite things about being psychic…

is the irony.

God has a sense of humor indeed.

As a middle child (and a Libra), I despise conflict and confrontation, and I love peace and harmony, hence my tendency towards people -pleasing.  I try to smooth everything over and will go out of my way to encourage someone and avoid hurting their feelings at all costs. Even my grandkids joke about what a softie I am.

Until it comes to my gift…

The Holy Spirit is a gentleman, but Spirit don’t play.

If you’ve ever worked with me you know how straightforward I am when I do a reading:

Tough love.

Call a spade a spade.

Tell it like I see it.

Downright blunt.

The reason for this?

The information comes to me so quickly that I don’t have time to translate it into a sugar-coated version without losing the flow of information. I find myself blurting things out that I would never personally say, but Spirit calls me to relay the message.

So fully expect that I will tell you the truth…

stop with the excuses”, “you’re drinking too much”, “you don’t really love him, you just don’t want to be alone”, “they’re not a good friend to you”, etc.

Some of the words that fly out of my mouth even surprise me.

The healing occurs because it’s all in the name of love, and Truth is truly transformative.

Speaking of love, I recently asked each of my four children, separately and via text, about their experience (good and bad) of being raised by a psychic mother.  In true fashion, my son never responded to the question, or even acknowledged the text. That’s my Reese. lol. He’ll circle back eventually.

One of my daughters replied that the good and the bad was the same answer… receiving my unsolicited psychic advice.

Guilty as charged on that one and something I continue to work on. I find it so difficult to stay in my lane. lol

My other two daughters had the same answer. They said the hardest part was the judgment from others.

Oooooo that one stung. Being judged for who you are is so hurtful, but it’s so much worse when it spills over to the ones you love most. Thankfully my children are strong and resilient and the best humans. Not to mention psychic, even if a couple of them don’t know it yet.

I recently saw a quote from the popular (and cute as a bug) Lubbock, TX, influencer, Magen Reaves that sums it up.  She said, “I do my best to not judge people-because I’m so thankful for the people that don’t judge me.”.

So simple and so powerful. Let that soak in…”Thankful for the people that don’t judge me”.

And sometimes the worst judgment doesn’t even come from others.

I had a mediumship reading with a client in Germany today and the message from her brother in heaven centered around her self-judgment and how she needed to let that go.  Part of the message I received was that my client had a dog that showed her unconditional love and to tell my client to use her dog’s love as the roadmap of sorts to show her how to love herself unconditionally.

In short, don’t be judgmental and take notes from a dog on how to love yourself.

We all fear judgment to some degree, but it’s a form of worship to live authentically in who Christ created you to be. God did not make mistakes when He planted dreams in your heart. It’s your job to follow that calling and to love yourself, so you can better love others.

For me, that has involved more unlearning than anything. I find that living authentically takes courage.

It’s worth it.

Catching up from Colorado…

If you haven’t seen me in a while, you’ll be surprised at how much of my gray hair has grown  in. It’s been eight months since I last dyed my hair and it’s been a journey of self-discovery. It’s taking some getting used to, but the freedom it brings has been amazing.

I’ve taken up quilting as a new hobby and I just completed my second quilt. My next project is a baby quilt for a very special baby boy due next year, then I will start on a quilt for each of my grandkids. There’s something about quilting that is so challenging, yet so peaceful at the same time.

Tony is enjoying his work at the hospital, and we both love our community. We’ve made some wonderful friends here and have seen so many beautiful places.  We still love going back to our place in Lubbock and seeing all the kids. We sure miss those babies!

I do in-person readings at Tumbleweed Botanicals in Lubbock once a month, and I just opened up my September calendar for virtual readings, so if you can’t catch me in Lubbock, you can catch me on zoom.

Blessings,

Amanda
